Medical & Health Research (Post Graduate) Training Centre and Residential Colleges
Main Idea : To accommodate Universiti Teknologi Mara’s (UiTM) Medical & Health Research faculties, providing for a specific and conducive environment for its students pursuing studies in the medical field.

Following the completion of the Sungai Buloh Hospital, Tunas Selatan Construction was awarded the contract to undertake the design, construction, commissioning, building certification and maintenance of the Medical & Health Research Training Centre and Residential Colleges of Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) at its Sungai Buloh Campus.

The project consists of three distinct parts which include:

  1. UiTM’s Institute of Medical Molecular Biotechnology (IMMB)
    This faculty houses among others, facilities for Tissue Culture and Tissue Engineering, Molecular Biology Laboratory, Imaging Unit, Bio-Informatics Unit, Educational Support facilities and Administrative facilities.
  2. UiTM’s Clinical Training Centre (CTC)
    This facility houses the faculties of Medical, Surgical, NICU, Paediatrics and O&G. Apart from accommodating 30 consultation and examination suites, it also has Endoscopy and Respiratory labs, Diagnostic labs, Non-Invasive Cardiac labs, 2 Cath labs and an Accredited Clinical Research lab. In addition to that, the facility also has ICU, CCU, CRW and NICU units as well as 2 each of Cardio-Thoracic and General Operating Theatres.
  3. UiTM’s Residential College
    This unique facility consists of 480 units of twin-sharing rooms for undergraduates, 96 single room units for post graduates, 16 units of apartments for fellows, 10 suites for visiting fellows and 3 units of Government staff Residences. The completed project also realises common amenities including a convenience shop, laundry, dining hall, games room, lounges and a surau.
